Onlangs kwam bij Sasja in de winkel een flinke collectie pijptabak "uit de oude doos" op de toonbank te staan. Deze tabak word al een aantal jaren niet meer gemaakt. Type 4 is uitverkocht ondertussen de andere 2 zijn er nog wel.
Ashton Type 3
This tobacco is primarly a Virginia broken flake of unique taste blended with Kentucky Burley and a touch of Louisana Perique. The light aromatic flavour makes this smoke unmistakable and it is well known to have spoiled even the most particular of connoisseurs. Taste is medium, flavoring is extremely mild.
Ashton Type 4
An excellent mixture, these darker tobaccos from Georgia and Kentucky with a quantity of Black Golden Cavendish are mixed with a blend of naturally sweet classic Old Belt Virginia and a spicy touch of Louisana Perique to give this tobacco its cool, mild bitter-sweet aroma. Taste is mild to medium, flavoring is extremely mild.
Ashton Type 6
The perfect smoke. This light-tasting aromatic tobacco is a special recipe of Cavendish and Virginia tobaccos mixed with broad-leaf Carolina. It has a very pleasing aroma and is blended mildly for both the palate and the tongue. Taste is mild to medium, flavoring is mild.
